What To Wear To Weddings When You Hate Dresses

What To Wear To Weddings When You Hate Dresses

|

Wedding season is fast approaching, and it’s a time of great anxiety for a particular group of people. No, not brides: guests who just hate wearing dresses.

In years gone by, convention dictated that female wedding guests wear pastel coloured dresses – not white obvs – preferably in floral prints. (See ‘Four Weddings and a Funeral’ for reference.)

But times have changed, and now anything goes. Well, not anything. Clearly turning up in jeans would be frowned upon, and even though it’s old-fashioned, wearing white could still see you become the pariah of your social circle.

But when it comes to colour, prints and cuts, the choice is yours – which means dresses definitely aren’t your only option.

If you’re struggling to find the perfect wedding outfit for SS18, here’s some inspiration from our new collection…

Jumpsuits

jumpsuit is always a great alternative to a dress, because like a dress, it’s a complete outfit in one. Our new-in jumpsuits provide the perfect base for just about any occasion, and if you want to wear one to a wedding, you just need to dress them up a bit. That’s as easy as adding heels, a statement necklace and a pop-of-colour clutch bag.

Stylish separates

Slightly more effort is to pick out a complete outfit, but we can make it easy. If you’re not a fan of skirts, check out these new-in wrap-front culottes. Tuck a bold block colour blouse into the waist and add a few co-ordinating accessories, and you’ve got yourself a chic wedding outfit in three simple steps!

Mustard tops here. Black wrap culottes - £30.

Printed three-piece

It’s not just men that can rock a stylish three-piece suit at a wedding. Comprising a wrapover crop top, wide leg trousers and a longline blazer, and available in two eye-popping prints, this suit makes a great wedding outfit. Wear with the blazer during the day, without for the reception, and mix-and-match with the rest of your wardrobe all year round!
Longline blazer in green or blue - £39. Cropped wrap top in green or blue - £18. Wide leg trousers in green or blue - £25.
